Infrastructure Management Consultants Ltd. (IMC) determines optimal management strategies for the maintenance and operation of the constructed environment using appropriate technologies. Management strategies are developed taking into consideration the construction, operation and maintenance, and demolition phases of structures and infrastructure. This development involves the collection of data throughout normal operation and maintenance, during detailed investigations, and during the assessment, design and execution phases of interventions. This data is stored and analyzed using a database/management system and is then used to trigger new monitoring, detailed inspections and interventions. These activities are coordinated with all of the other structures and infrastructure being investigated. (For graphic illustration of the data flow throughout the lifecycle of civil infrastructure click here.) IMC consulting services can be grouped into three categories 1) business models: the evaluation and development of the business models and business processes of organizations that manage infrastructure, 2) the implementation of business processes: the development of infrastructure management systems and all supporting activities, such as physical condition, risk and economic analysis, and 3) research: all research activities related to the improvement of infrastructure management strategies. |
